New York: Alicia Keys wasn’t lying when she crooned, ‘These streets will make you feel brand new’ in her song New York. The Big Apple is a fixture in most bucket lists. It’s glamorous, exciting and an Instagram hotspot. Classic movies such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, West Side Story and Saturday Night Fever and shows like FRIENDS and Sex and the City were shot in downtown Manhattan. New York looks great in any light, it’s gorgeous in black and white or oozing with color. Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge and The Oculus are some spots you shouldn’t miss.
Kyoto, Japan: Kyoto is a bustling, vibrant city. It blends the vibe of a big city with a stunning natural landscape. In Spring, the delicate blooms of the cherry blossoms make stunning photos. The striking hues of Autumn also make for a great Instagram shot.
Barcelona, Spain: A quick search of the hashtag Barcelona on Instagram brought up a staggering 42.5 million posts. Barcelona is replete with photogenic spots in every corner, laneway and garden. October is a great time to visit Barcelona if you’re not a fan of intense heat or maddening crowds.
London, UK: London is a huge part of global pop culture. Whether you want a shot in front of Hogwarts or the Dr Who Tardis, London is a living, breathing phenomenon. The night life and fashion culture is thriving too. Plus you find great backdrops in the street art around the city. And let’s be real, we all want Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey on our grid.
Paris, France: Is there any European city quite as beguiling as Paris? If you like pretty little cafes that look like they’re right out of a story book, or art and culture in all its glory, Paris should be on top of your list. The best time to visit Paris is between April to June when the weather is pleasant and enjoyable. The cobbled pavement Streets of Montmarte and Louvre Museum are a dream to photograph. One of the best spots to get a picture of the Eiffel Tower is from Trocadero.

One of Bali’s highlights are the rice terraces in Ubud which are flooding Instagram lately. The warm, vivid sunsets at the beach are a sight to behold. If you want to avoid the crowds, April, May and June are not as busy as the others months.
Venice, Italy: Venice is a treasure trove of cobbled streets, art, fashion and food. Popular Instagram spots include the Rialto bridge and the Bridge of Spies. Venice is the type of city where you just point and shoot and get a great picture.
