Zimbabwe with Kids

Travelling Africa with kids doesn’t get much more spectacular than Zimbabwe. The Victoria Falls are without a doubt one of the world’s grandest natural spectacles and every viewpoint reveals something new. Families are able to view the falls at eye level or from the air in a helicopter “Flight of Angels”. Have you ever wanted to touch a lion? The Lion Encounter experience at Victoria Falls gives you and your family the opportunity to walk with baby lions. You do have to be over 15 years, though there is a cub encounter for younger children.

There was over 200,000 lions in the world in 1990 and currently less than 18,000 lions live in the wild in Africa due to poaching, disease and farming. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience for children with their parents. Cruise the Zambezi River and have hippos yawn in front of your eyes while Crocodiles sleep on the banks.

For thrill seeking teenagers (and parents) bungy jump off the Zambezi Bridge or white water raft though the Zambezi - be warned these are only for the tough ones.

Family Friendly accommodation and family safaris to suit your tribe can be found across Zimbabwe and the throughout Africa. Travel with Kidz continues to research hotel facilities, game parks, transport and activities to ensure safety, fun and experiences of a lifetime for families on safari in Africa.
